MITCHELL (nMEREDITH) MYRA Rod would like to say a huge thank you to the families, friends and neighbours for their messages of condolence and lovely cards he received at this very sad and emotional time. Canon Hilary Spurgeon, a loyal friend of Myra's since before their schooldays came from the Isle of Wight to Poole to officiate at the Cremation and we thank her too for the way in which she arranged and led the beautiful service. Everyone's support and kindness, whether local or from other friends afar, was greatly appreciated as were the floral tributes and the generous donations for the Forest Holme Hospice Charity of Poole, which provides some of the financial support to the hospice. Rod wishes to thank the many professionals who looked after Myra over 40 years with Crohn's disease and more recently the NHS Poole Hospital Head & Neck team for their sensitive care of Myra during the short difficult days of a new diagnosis, but especially for the palliative aftercare provided by the very dedicated NHS Forest Holme Hospice Doctors, nurses and the wider teams in the community over 6 months. We greatly appreciated too the help and support and understanding of Paul Steele and the team at Tapper Funeral Service of Poole who provided the arrangements for Myra's Cremation and who in case of need are there to assist in the months ahead.
