It's been a bumper couple of weeks for the O2 with sold out gigs from Stormzy and now the Kooks.

The band rolled into town to deliver their own brand of Pop Rock mixed in with any number of other styles, although tonight was more rock than anything else.

They hit the stage running with the first three songs delivered at breakneck speed before pausing for breath and a quick 'hello Bournemouth' before they were off again.

An early outing for She Moves In Her Own Way had the enthusiastic crowd singing along and with Ooh La making an appearance about forty minutes in they were obviously not keeping the big hitters just for the encore.

Rosie from 2011 offering Junk Of The Heart was my personal favourite but was run pretty close by some of the singles above and the almost perfect Always Where I Need To Be.

Lead singer Luke Pritchard chatted to the crowd throughout the gig to see how they were doing but with the amount of movement in the hectic crowd that was never really in doubt. They loved the versions of Sweet Emotion and Matchbox, even the dreaded drum solo went down pretty well.

Not being a dedicated follower of the band I had forgotten just how many great songs they have produced - a massive sing-along to Seaside and show closer I Wanna Make You Happy has persuaded me that I need to pay more attention to these guys in the future and pick up a copy of their latest offering.

I had a great night and I doubt anyone leaving the packed venue at the end would disagree.
