Actor, comedian, rapper, writer, director and presenter Tom Green has had a varied and fruitful career since his break into the mainstream in the late 90’s, famed for The Tom Green Show on MTV and his movie career which included roles Road Trip and Freddie Got Fingered, which he also wrote and directed.

Tonight’s show at the 02 Academy Bournemouth saw Tom return to his routes as a stand-up comedian, as part of his European Comedy Road Trip 2017.

Support tonight came from local comedian Graham Whistler, having last year received 4 stars at Edinburg’s Fringe Festival, Whistler had the audience roaring with laughter with his anecdotes of living in Bournemouth and being born with a mild form of Cerebral Palsy.

Second on tonight’s bill, south coast comedian Sunjai Arif continued where Whistler had finished, with audience members truly entertained for the entirety of his set, warming the crowd up perfectly for the main act.

Tom Green took to the stage for over an hour, entertaining the crowd with tales of being sacked by American President Donald Trump in The Apprentice USA and surviving testicular cancer in 2000 with the typical dark humour he is famed for.

Now 45 years old, Canadian born Tom Green interacted with the audience from start to finish, wrapping up the show in fine form by performing famous sketches from his movies, as requested by members of the audience.

It was clear by tonight’s show that Tom Green still has a hugely dedicated following who were out in full force in Bournemouth this evening, with side splitting laughter from the audience for the full set.

At the end of tonight’s performance, Tom did not leave the stage as is customary following your audience applause, but instead sat on the edge of the stage and welcomed fans to come and have a chat with him, which of course everyone did.
