SHOWADDYWADDY

Weymouth Pavilion

HEY Rock ‘n Roll, the boys are back in town and they are better than ever with a starry line-up that brings back the good old days with a bang.

The self styled world’s greatest Rock and Roll band have been on the road for more than 40 years and believe it or not, two of the original members are still onstage and going strong, pounding out the beat with an enthusiasm and energy that puts us all to shame, an amazing performance.

Drummer Romeo Challenger and bass guitar Rod Deas, who both helped to form the Leicester-based band in 1973, are joined by a seriously talented group headed by vocalist and front man Andy Pelos with Dean Loach on keyboard, Ray Hatfield on guitar and Rob Hewins on guitar, drums and vocals who between them light up the stage and get the whole audience singing and dancing the night away.

Nobody needed a second invitation to take part in classic hits like three Steps to Heaven, Under the Moon of Love and Pretty Little Angel Eyes as the special effects of the band and their brilliant vocals brought the past back to life for the mainly mature audience who clearly loved every minute of the show.

With a lively programme of musical talent performing at the Pavilion throughout August, the town is clearly going to enjoy pushing back the clock as they line up to get hip hopping and bopping in tribute to the tuneful hit parades of the past.
