THERE is plenty to keep families occupied at Lighthouse, Poole in the coming weeks, as it releases its new season of events.

Big-hearted adults and little ones will enjoy Don't Dribble on the Dragon on February 3, based on the best-selling book by Steven Lee and with magic designed by Paul Daniels, the musical adventure about growing up focuses on the importance of family.

All four families of instruments will be showcased by the Mini BSO at its family concert on February 10, which explores well-known film music and traditional tunes using fun new arrangements.

Journey to the Impossible is a coming-of-age quest featuring epic songs, cinematic storytelling and hip hop dance on February 10. Inspired by the novels of Jules Verne, this is an homage to 80s sci-fi films and timeless adventure stories for all the family which will be enjoyed by children aged five and upwards.

Mirror, Mirror on February 13 is a new version of the timeless tale of Snow White, combining beautiful puppets, captivating storytelling and mesmerising sign language, while CBeebies’ Patrick Lynch brings the classic story of Tom Thumb to life in a playful and fascinating show for children aged three plus on February 15.

Catch a charming adaptation of I Believe in Unicorns by best-selling children’s author Michael Morpurgo on February 23 and 24 and Peter and the Wolf, on March 10, features new music inspired by Prokofiev’s classic, combined with imaginative puppetry, physical comedy and fun interaction.
