1. Dear Zoo, Rod Campbell’s best-selling children’s book, makes its stage premiere at Lighthouse, Poole on Tuesday and Wednesday at various times, with puppets, music and plenty of audience interaction.

2. The Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra brings Images and Dreams to Lighthouse on Wednesday at 7.30pm.

3. Menopause the Musical, an all-singing, all-dancing comedy starring Cheryl Fergison (EastEnders) and Maureen Nolan, is at Lighthouse on Thursday at 7.30pm

4. Storyteller Daniel Morden transports audiences to the Land of No Return in Stolen, presented by the Devil’s Violin, at Lighthouse on Friday at 8pm.

5. Sing-a-long to one of the best-loved fairy tales, Beauty & The Beast, at Lighthouse on Saturday at 7pm with on-screen lyrics.

6. Jane Austen at Home, is presented by TV historian Dr Lucy Worsley at the Regent Centre in Christchurch on Thursday. Worsley takes a new look at Jane Austen’s life from the perspective of her bi-centenary.

8. Two of the world’s best-loved operas will be staged in Bournemouth by Opera & Ballet International at the Pavilion starting with Verdi La Traviata on Friday and Puccini ‘s Madama Butterfly on Saturday.

9. A new arts festival arrives at Poole next Saturday from 11am to 4pm at Branksome Recreational Ground. Spring Arts Fest 2018, organised by Red Lion Marketing and Rainbow Arts Dorset, is aimed at young people and families and will include live performances, arts and crafts, face painting, a mini funfair, food and refreshments. There will also be up to 40 stalls. Free entry.

10. Brit pop band, The Vamps, will be rocking the BIC next Monday night.
