The Bournemouth Scouts' St George's Day Parade sets off from the Bournemouth International Centre at around 10.30am on Sunday, before heading for the bandstand in the Lower Gardens. For those celebrating across the Isle of Purbeck, Scouts will meet at Wareham for a dragon parade through the town. It will then be followed by a celebration at Lady St Mary Church at 1.45pm. Then in Poole, the Quay will be a hive of blue and green clad children all ready for their own dragon parade at 2.30pm.

The third anniversary of The Great Heath project in Poole will be celebrated at an event at Upton Country Park on April 23.  The free event is open to all and will give members of the public the chance to see progress at the Holes Bay and Corfe Barrows Nature Park. A Family Fun Dog Show will be held at Kinson Community Centre in Pelhams Park, Millhams Road, at 11am on Sunday.

The South Coast Spring Fair takes place at the Triangle from 11am-5pm on Saturday. There will be workshops, live music and refreshment stalls. Proceeds from the event will go to the Round Table Children's Wish. 

Christchurch will welcome the Rifles to the borough on Saturday. The Rifles Freedom of the Borough march will start at 11.40am from Christchurch Quay. The regiment will march onto parade, ahead of a short address and inspection, before they march off at 12.15pm. The parade will take place down the High Street, before a private reception is held by the Mayor of Christchurch, Cllr Trish Jamieson at the Civic Offices.

A fundraising dog walk along Bournemouth seafront will take place on Sunday. Meet at the Durley Chine Beach Office, Bournemouth Beach, at 10.30am.

An aviation group is holding a classic car day to promote the history of the New Forest airfields. The event is being held on April 23 at the museum of the Friends of the New Forest Airfields from 10am. The classic cars can be viewed after the talk by Dr Henry Goodall.

The Verwood Bowling Club is set to host open days, encouraging new bowlers of all ages and abilities, on April 22, 29 and May 6, from 10am-12pm. For more information visit verwoodbowlingclub.co.uk.

The Milford Hospital League of Friends are holding a spring fair fro 10am-12pm on April 22 at All Saints Church Hall. Admission costs £1.

The 28th Great Dorset Beach Clean takes place between Thursday, April 20 and Sunday, April 23. Participants will tackle rubbish left on 22 beaches between Lyme Regis and Friars Cliff during the initiative. A 'litter free day out' event will also take place between April 17 and 23. Discover the Hidden Secrets of Bournemouth on circular guided walk with Hattie Miles on Sunday. A specialist nurseries plant fair will take place at Knoll Gardens on Saturday, April 22 between 10am and 4pm. Admission is free.
