These are the candidates who will be standing in each constituency in Dorset.

All of Dorset's eight constituencies have substantial Conservative majorities, as does New Forest West, although Mid Dorset and North Poole was represented by the Liberal Democrats' Annette Brooke for 14 years up until the last election two years ago.

At present the constituency has a Tory majority of 10,530 (22.6 per cent), while the next most vulnerable is South Dorset with a majority of 11,994 (24.7 per cent).

Perhaps the most obvious difference this time round is a sharp reduction in the number of seats being contested by UKIP.

The party has chosen not to field candidates in any seat but Bournemouth East, and to instead back those Tory candidates in favour of Brexit.

The Green Party, which last year contested every seat, has not put anyone up for Mid Dorset and North Poole, perhaps to allow Lib Dem Vikki Slade a clear run at the incumbent Michael Tomlinson.
