POLICE are appealing for help to find a man who has gone missing from Wareham.

Mark Rumbold, 40, was last seen at his home address in Northmoor Way at around 12.30pm on Monday.

He was reported missing at around 10am yesterday.

Officers have carried out a number of searches in the Purbeck area and in the North Dorset area where he has links.

Mark is described as white, around five feet seven inches tall and of slim build with short brown hair. He is believed to have been wearing a grey, brown and blue top, jeans and Converse trainers.

Officers understand he has access to his vehicle, a silver Volvo XC70 with the registration number AJ07 DHZ.

Chief Inspector Alan Setchell, of Dorset Police, said: “We are becoming increasingly concerned for Mark’s welfare as he has not been seen for some time and it is believed he may have been upset recently.

“We have been carrying out a number of enquiries and are doing everything we can to locate Mark.

“I would urge anyone who has any information to his whereabouts, or who sees a man matching Mark’s description, to contact police immediately. We would also like to hear from anyone who comes across his vehicle.

“I am also making a direct plea to Mark if he sees this appeal to contact us or your family as we all want to ensure that you are safe and well.”
