WORK to repair a burst water main which caused long delays on the A351 Sandford Road will take place on Thursday.

Wessex Water are expected to repair the temporary fix on Thursday, but there will be a temporary 20mph speed limit in place.

Motorists were caught in the delays more than a week ago after the main burst near the entrance of Wareham Golf Club.

It led to the road being closed in both directions and drivers facing delays of an hour to complete their journeys.
