Here is a selection of animals from the Ashley Heath Animal Centre in Dorset who are looking for their forever home.

Located on the border with Hampshire, the centre offers care for its animals in rural surroundings.

A few animals from the centre are listed below but more can be found on the centre's website.

If you wanted to donate to the Ashley Heath Animal Centre to support their work you can do so at the website.

Griff

Gender - Male

Age - Three years old (approx.)

Breed - Yorkshire Terrier

Colour - Black & Tan

If you want to adopt Griff you can view their full profile here.

Griff came into the care of Ashley Heath Animal Centre after being removed from a household with 40 other dogs following their owner dying.

On his page, the centre adds: "Needless to say, Griff is a very scared dog. He has been with us since February and has only recently gained enough confidence to go for a walk."

Adopters will need to take it slow with him as it will likely take him several months to settle and develop a bond with a new family.

The centre has found him to be less nervous when in the company of another dog so a home with a female dog of a similar size would be good.

Additionally, Griff will need a home without children and will need to be toilet trained.

Potato

Bournemouth Echo: PotatoPotato (Image: RSPCA)Gender - Male

Age - Two years old (approx.)

Breed - Domestic semi-crossbreed

Colour - Black & White

If you want to adopt Potato you can view their full profile here.

Potato is looking for a loving new home after he found himself abandoned at a property with several other cats.

He was a little unsure on arrival in the cattery but once settled the centre found he enjoyed company and a bit of a fuss.

Potato has lost some fur which Ashley Heath Animal Centre believe to be stress-related so he is looking for a quiet home with no dogs and children who are ten years or older.

Caspar

Bournemouth Echo: CasparCaspar (Image: RSPCA)

Gender - Male

Age - One year old (approx.)

Breed - Lurcher crossbreed

Colour - Black & White

If you want to adopt Caspar you can view their full profile here.

Caspar is a dog who is described as having a "real zest for life" and loves playing with his toys and partaking in fetch.

He is friendly with other dogs and could potentially live with a calm-natured dog of a similar size pending introductions at the centre.

Ideally in his new home, it would be beneficial for him to live with more than one person who could be around most of the time to support him as he is currently not left alone at all.

Zelda and Maxwell

Bournemouth Echo: Zelda and MaxwellZelda and Maxwell (Image: RSPCA)

Gender - Female (Zelda) and male (Maxwell)

Age - Two years old (approx.)

Breed - New Zealand

Colour - White

If you want to adopt Zelda and Maxwell you can view their full profile here.

Zelda and Maxwell are a pair of young adult New Zealand white rabbits who were rescued from a property where there were a large number of other rabbits living in unsuitable conditions.

Both have a bit of a nervous side, but Zelda can be keen to interact when tempted with a treat and Maxwell can be quite independent.

They have been treated for e. cuniculi, therefore it is possible that they may remain carriers, so should not be homed with other rabbits.
