Here is a selection of animals from the Ashley Heath Animal Centre in Dorset who are looking for their forever home.

Located on the border with Hampshire, the centre offers care for its animals in rural surroundings.

A few animals from the centre are listed below but more can be found on the centre's website.

If you wanted to donate to the Ashley Heath Animal Centre to support their work you can do so at their website.

Charlie

Gender - Male

Age - One year old

Breed - Patterdale Terrier (Fell Terrier)

Colour - Brown

If you want to adopt Charlie you can view their full profile here.

Charlie is described as an affectionate and cheerful dog who loves to roll around and have his tummy tickled.

He is progressing well through some basic training, but remains easily distracted on walks so more work is needed there.

Ashley Heath Animal Centre adds: "You may see in his pictures that he has a disfigured nose. Sadly, this is because his previous owner was using him for hunting. But please don't let this put you off. Charlie has a good temperament. He is friendly towards people and other dogs."

Joey

Gender - Male

Age - Five to six months old

Breed - Collie (Smooth coat) crossbreed

Colour - Tan/White

If you want to adopt Joey you can view their full profile here.

Joey came into the care of Ashley Heath Animal Centre malnourished and needing lots of care after growing up in filthy conditions.

He has since thrived in their care and is now fit and healthy enough to look for a new home.

Joey will require an active home with people that are prepared to stimulate his mind through training, enrichment activities and scent work games.

Training classes will be needed for him, and he will need to get used to everyday sounds and smells around the home as he has not lived in one properly before.

Sugar

Gender - Female

Age - Five years old

Breed - Domestic Semi crossbreed

Colour - Black

If you want to adopt Sugar you can view their full profile here.

Sugar came into the care of Ashley Heath Animal Centre due to a welfare concern and she is ready to find a new home.

She arrived at the centre with sore skin due to a mild allergy to flea bites, this is a very common problem in both cats and dogs and can be easily controlled with regular flea treatment.

Sugar could get used to living with another cat, and it is important she is not rehomed within five miles of Wimborne.

Biscuit and Oreo

Gender - Female

Age - One year old

Breed - Domestic

Colour - Tan (Biscuit) and black & white (Oreo)

If you want to adopt Biscuit and Oreo you can view their full profile here.

Biscuit and Oreo were rescued from a multi-rabbit household, with their previous owner having too many and not being able to look after them all properly.

When they arrived they were both very scared and it was clear that they hadn't received much positive socialisation in the past.

Ashley Heath Animal Centre has been working with them to slowly build up their confidence and trust in humans.

They will need a quiet home and a patient owner to continue to work with them.

Additionally, it would be good for them to have a garden to run around and explore in.
