Dorset RSPCA: 5 animals who are looking for new homes

Located on the border with Hampshire, the centre offers care for its animals in rural surroundings.

Storm

Age - 10 years old

Breed - Patterdale Terrier (Fell Terrier)

Colour - Black/Brown

Storm is described as an affectionate and laid-back dog who is quite happy to take it easy.

She enjoys her walks but she isn't particularly active so wouldn't need to go on long hikes and would suit someone looking for companionship.

Ashley Heath Animal Centre adds: "Storm was part of a large prosecution case in which dogs were used for hunting wildlife. You may be able to see in her pictures that she has facial disfigurement from previous injuries sustained during hunting.

"Please do not let this put you off as she does not display strong predatory behaviour and gets on well with other dogs but certain safety precautions will need to be taken."

Badger

Age - Nine years old

Breed - Jack Russell Terrier crossbreed

Colour - Black and white

Badger is described as being a little timid and unsure initially to a change in routine, but once settled will become quite affectionate.

He would prefer to have company around most of the time and access to a garden would be good.

Badger has not lived with cats or had much experience around children so would most likely prefer a home without either of them.

Cappuccino

Cappuccino is a dog who has had a tough year and came into the care of the Ashley Heath Animal Centre through no fault of her own.

She is looking for a home free from other pets but can socialise well with dogs on her walks.

Additionally, she would like new adopters to be around the home for most of the day and knows some basic training commands.

Yoyo and Nesquick

Age - Six to 12 months

Breed - Domestic

Colour - White (Yoyo) and Brown (Nesquik)

Yoyo and Nesquik are looking for a home together after being abandoned.

Nesquik is the more confident one of the pair, although they are both a little shy and timid, and it's clear they hadn't had much handling before coming into the care of Ashley Heath.

The centre is working with the pair to build their confidence and have some positive experiences.
