A number of pets in Dorset are looking for their forever homes, including at the Ashley Heath Animal Centre.

Located on the border with Hampshire, the centre offers care for its animals in rural surroundings.

A few animals from the centre are listed below but more can be found on the centre's website.

Jack is a dog who is looking for a new home after finding himself in the care of the Ashley Heath Animal Centre.

The centre does not have a lot of history on him but has said once he gets to know people he can be very friendly.

He walks well on a lead but will pull after wildlife if he spots it, so as a result he is used to wearing a muzzle.

Although Jack can be sociable with other dogs, he prefers females in his company to males.

He would need a home with a secure garden, free from cats and other small animals.

Hope and Miracle are two cats who are looking to find a home together, as they both like to curl up on a bed side-by-side and reassure each other.

They may get used to another cat given the time and space, but no dogs. They could also live with children aged 13 years and above.

Additionally, they should not be rehomed within five miles of Fareham (PO16).

Mr Binx came into the care of the RSPCA after being found abandoned along with a number of other rabbits, and he is now ready for a new home.

He is a friendly, social rabbit, who enjoys exploring his environment and supervising at cleaning time.

Ashley Heath adds: "He would like to be rehomed to live with a female rabbit as company and will require a large living area with plenty of enrichment to keep them occupied.

"Initially, they will require separate accommodation from each other during the bonding process."

Sprinkles

Sprinkles arrived at the centre after her previous owner realised they were allergic, and she is now ready to find a loving new home.

Sprinkles will require a cage minimum of 50 x 80 x 50cm, recommended with several levels and a large floor space.
