RSPCA Dorset: 6 pets who are looking for forever homes

Located on the border with Hampshire, the centre offers care for its animals in rural surroundings.

Ariel

Gender - Female

Age - Six years old

Breed - Greyhound

Colour - Black

Ariel was found living outside with a number of dogs and is also an ex-racing greyhound, but is now on the lookout for a loving new home.

Owners will need to keep her muzzled when out on a lead as she has been known to nip at smaller and higher-energy dog breeds.

She is a fan of rubber squeaky toys and will amuse herself for hours chasing after them.

Ashley Heath adds: "We are looking to rehome Ariel to a family or person with no, or older children. She will also need to have access to a secure private garden and be the only pet in the household."

Alyssa

Age - Three years old

Breed - Terrier crossbreed

Colour - Tan/Grey

Alyssa was found living in unsuitable conditions with a large group of dogs so has not experienced a comfortable home yet.

She has had limited socialisation with other dogs and people so will need help having her confidence built up and being housetrained.

Alyssa will need someone at home most of the time initially whilst settling in as it will be a big adjustment for her.

She may be able to live with sensible older children over the age of 12 but this will depend on initial meetings.

Clara

Clara arrived in the care of the RSPCA after her owner sadly passed away and she is now ready to find a new home.

At first, she took a bit of time to settle into the cattery but now enjoys the company of the staff and being groomed.

She may get used to living with another cat given time, but no dogs.

Additionally, she is not to be rehomed within five miles of the BH15 postcode.

Little Bear

Little Bear arrived in the care of the RSPCA due to a welfare concern and is now looking for a quiet home where he can take the time to settle.

In his previous home, Little Bear had little interaction with people and very few visitors and was struggling a little in the cattery environment.

However, when he was placed into a foster home where he was given time and his own space he began to settle in.

Ideally, he'll find owners who have had experience with nervous cats and a household with very few comings and goings.

Additionally, he is not to be rehomed within five miles of Bournemouth (BH11).

Crumble and Custard

Crumble and Custard came into the care of Ashley Heath due to a change in circumstances with their owners.

They are described as "sweet rabbits" who will happily take food from your hand.

Due to their long fur, they will need grooming regularly and they are aiming to find a home together.

Crumble and Custard have lived as indoor rabbits but may be able to be introduced to living outside.
