A NEW wine festival has partnered with two charities.

Dorset Wine Festival has announced it has joined forces with MYTIME Young Carers and Julia’s House ahead of the inaugural festival in October.

The collaboration, the festival said, aims to support and raise awareness for both organisations, which play pivotal roles in improving the lives of individuals and families in Dorset.

It said it recognised the importance of giving back to the community and aimed to extend its support to those who need it most.

“We are honoured to support MYTIME Young Carers and Julia's House as the official charities of The Dorset Wine Festival," said Simone Ippolito, festival director.

“These organisations embody the spirit of community, compassion, and support, values that are deeply ingrained in our festival's ethos.

“Together, we aspire to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and families across Dorset.”

The partnership between the three organisations ‘underscored a shared commitment to creating positive change and fostering a stronger, more inclusive community’.

The festival will raise funds and awareness for both charities, with a proportion of each ticket sold going to their work.

MYTIME Young Carers supports children and young people who have caring responsibilities for a family member.

It ensures these young people get the care, attention and opportunities they deserve, allowing them to thrive in their own lives while supporting their loved ones.

Julia’s House is a hospice charity, delivering essential care and support to families with children facing life-limiting or life-threatening conditions.

It provides comfort, respite and end-of-life care, allowing families to cherish precious moments together in a supportive and compassionate environment.

Dorset Wine Festival will take place at Highcliffe Castle on October 5 and 6.
