PURBECK Runners' men stormed to the top of Dorset Road Race League Division Two after impressive performances at the Puddletown Plod Half Marathon.

All four of the scoring members placed in the top 20 with eighth-place James Campbell (pictured) leading the way with a fine 1:24:04.

Steve Bridger was second Runner home, earning overall 15th in 1:25:51. David Brown recorded a personal best of 1:26:41 with vet 60 winner Hamish Murray finishing just six seconds later.

Club co-founder Ross Wayne said: “It was an awesome team display.”
