THE weather is again the winner as Poole Pirates’ BSN Series meeting against Plymouth Gladiators has been postponed.
Pirates were looking to get back in action this evening for the first time since Good Friday, but persistent rain on Wednesday afternoon has seen the fixture washed out.
Plymouth are yet to ride at all this season due to wet weather, while Poole have completed just one meeting, thrashing Oxford Cheetahs 61-29 in the BSN Series south group opener.
A statement on Wednesday afternoon from Pirates read: “We made the decision to postpone tonight’s fixture.
“A rescheduled date will be confirmed in due course.
“We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
“All pre-booked tickets will be automatically refunded.”
Poole are next due in action at home against Edinburgh Monarchs in the Championship Knockout Cup on Wednesday, April 24 (7.30pm).
