Definitive Map and Statement Modification Order

Town and Country Planning Act 1990, Section 257 Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, Section 53A(2)

Dorset County Council (Part of Footpath 64, Swanage at California Quarry) Public Path Diversion Order 2014

On 10 March 2017 Dorset County Council confirmed the above order.

The effect of the order as confirmed is to divert part of Footpath 64, Swanage in the

Purbeck District as shown on the order map as follows:-

From the current route:

From SZ 01827742, south south west of California Farm, south along a partly grassed track on the western edge of the stone quarry, for a distance of 95 metres to SZ 01827733. (No recorded width). To a new route:

From a point on the unaffected part of Footpath 64 at SZ 01827742, south south west of California Farm, south south west between a stone wall on the western side and a fence on the eastern side for a distance of 75 metres to SZ 01807735 and then south east, fenced on the eastern side, for a distance of 30 metres to rejoin the unaffected part of Footpath 64 at SZ 01807733. Width: 2 metres between points SZ 0182 7742, SZ 01807735 and SZ 01807733.

A copy of the confirmed order and the order map may be seen free of charge at Reception, County Hall, Colliton Park, Dorchester during normal office hours. Copies of the order and map may be bought there at the price of £10.00. A copy is also available to view on our website at www.dorsetforyou.com/row-orders. The order comes into force on 10 March 2017 but if any person aggrieved by the order desires to question its validity or that of any provision contained in it on the ground that it is not within the powers of the above Act, or on the ground that any requirement of that Act or any regulation made under it has not been complied with in relation to the confirmation of the order, he or she may apply to the High Court for any of these purposes under section 287 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 within 6 weeks from the date on which notice is first published as required by paragraph 7 of Schedule 14 to the Act.
