TICKETS have gone on sale for the Isle of Wight Festival 2015 with many high-profile acts already announced.

Last week fans were delighted that Pharrell Williams, Fleetwood Mac, The Prodigy and The Black Keys will be taking to the stage.

The weekend, from June 11 to 14, sees vintage rockers Fleetwood Mac headline on Sunday while The Prodigy and The Black Keys will headline on Friday, with the British dancerock pioneers closing the set.

Pharrell Williams is not headlining but is due to appear on stage on the Saturday performing his smash-hit song Happy. Organiser John Giddings said people should be lining up to buy tickets.

He said: “There’s something for everyone.

“It makes me laugh when I first did the festival they didn’t believe real groups would be coming the first year.

“There will be a lot of entertainment from the past, present and future.

“It’s all about good music.

“It’s not about good singles, it’s about artists that can provide entertainment.”

This week it was announced that Scottish singer-songwriter Paolo Nutini will also be appearing.

The Paisley-born singer – who had hits with “New Shoes” and “Scream” – will perform on Sunday as a special guest before Fleetwood Mac headline that night.

Paolo Nutini hit the top of the UK Album Charts earlier this year with his third studio album “Caustic Love”, following the success of his previous two albums.

Now in its 14th year, the festival offers 12 stages of live music over the weekend – including Main Stage headliners, acoustic sets, DJ performances and up-and-coming talent.

This is alongside a huge variety of entertainment and activities such as the Bohemian Woods, Intoxicated Tea Rooms and Hipshaker, to escape from everyday life for that one weekend in June.
