HERE is a round-up of things we are looking forward to in January.

1 Brownsea Bird Boats. The National Trust, Dorset Wildlife Trust and the RSPB have teamed up to offer bird watchers the opportunity to see one of the best winter bird spectacles in the UK, accompanied by a two hour landing on Brownsea Island with exclusive guided tours around the lagoon from January 6. 2 Bohemian Rhapsody, The Tivoli Theatre. Back by popular demand, the Tivoli Theatre are screening box office smash, Bohemian Rhapsody across multiple dates in January. See tivoliwimborne.co.uk

3 Cinderella, Regent Centre, Christchurch. The award winning Highcliffe Charity Players return, slipper in hand, to enchant us with one of the nation’s most loved pantomimes, Cinderella from January 19-26.

4 The Russian State Ballet of Siberia will visit Bournemouth Pavillion for three nights to perform the ballet classics, Giselle, The Nutcracker and Swan Lake from January 21 - 23.

5 The Spice Girls Experience. Didn’t manage to get your hands on tickets for the Spice Girls stadium tour? Here’s the next best thing, and right on your doorstep at Bournemouth Pavilion on January 25. Join Scary, Sporty, Baby, Posh and Ginger Spice for a night of all things Girl Power, with their best loved hits, Wannabe, Spice Up Your Life, 2 Become 1 and more.

7 Bournemouth Gin & Prosecco Festival. Start 2019 as you mean to go on in the lavish Hilton Ballroom at the Bournemouth Gin & Prosecco Festival on January 26. Aperol Spritz and cocktail bars will accompany the main tipples, alongside live entertainment and music and even an exclusively designed, branded glass for you to take home. Tickets: £15

8 The Best of Wham! It’s not quite Club Tropicana, as sadly the drinks aren’t free, but Poole Lighthouse will host this upbeat, fun-loving tribute to the best of George, Andrew, Pepsi and Shirlie on January 26.
