FOLLOWING their BBC proms debut, Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra's disabled-led ensemble will tour Dorset next month.

Developed as part of BSO Participate's Change Makers project, BSO Resound is the world's first disabled-led ensemble created as part of a professional orchestra's main programme of work.

Under the baton of James Rose, BSO Change Maker and Conductor, the ensemble has a wide repertoire, including arrangements of well-known classical works and new commissions written specifically for the founding members of the ensemble.

Artsreach co-director Kerry Bartlett said: "To be able to work alongside such a world class orchestra as the BSO and present them in rural communities across the County is a real pleasure, and something our audiences really treasure. The development of a disabled-led ensemble is simply fantastic and we are excited to have the opportunity to collaborate on performances with them this spring."

See the BSO Resound ensemble at Sandford Orcas Village Hall on Saturday, February 2 to book call 01963 220208 or Studland Village Hall on Sunday, February 3, call 01929 450204.
