Motown legends Four Tops and The Temptations to perform at the BIC

The two internationally acclaimed groups will come together in a show that features some of the most popular and award-winning songs, including Just My Imagination, Papa Was A Rollin' Stone, Reach Out I'll Be There and Standing in the Shadows of Love.

Original members of both bands will be taking to the stage, including Duke Fakir from Four Tops and Otis Williams from The Temptations.

"We are thrilled to be coming back to the UK," Duke commented. "We have always had such a great reception from our fans here, and it always feels like home. It makes it so special to perform for the folks of Britain."

Otis added: "We want to thank our British fans for supporting and inspiring us over the last half century. 2020 marks our 60th anniversary, and we invite everyone to join us in celebrating this special milestone."

A vocal quartet from Detroit, Michigan, Four Tops rose to fame in the 1960s and helped define the city's Motown sound of the era. Over the next few decades, the group achieved several top ten hits, performed at venues across the world, and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990. Four Tops released their final studio recording in 1995.

As the only surviving original band member, Duke will be joined on stage by Ronnie McNeir, Lawrence Payton Jr and Joseph Alex Morris for the 2020 tour.

Also hailing from Detroit, The Temptations released a series of hugely successful singles with Motown Records throughout the 1960s and 1970s. The band's work with producer Norman Whitfield pioneered psychedelic soul and was significant in the development of R&B and soul music. The Temptations earned three Grammy Awards, including for Lifetime Achievement in 2013.

Otis will perform alongside leading vocalists Ron Tyson, Terry Weeks, and Willie Greene Jr.
