THE largest celebration of the world's greatest rock and pop acts is headed to Poole.

The line-up for the Legends Festival weekend 2020 has been revealed.

The popular event, which has been moved from Upton Country Park to the Canford Arena, features some of the the world’s best tributes on a massive 40-metre festival stage.

Topping the bill on Saturday June 20 is Patrick Myers's globe-trotting Freddie Mercury tribute, Killer Queen. They are back by popular demand having sold more than 8,000 tickets last year alongside Europe’s biggest tribute act, ABBA Mania, who also return in 2020. Joining them for the one-day festival is the award winning Wayne Dilks as George Michael, The Upbeat Beatles, Jimi Love’s Elton John and the world’s most renowned David Bowie tribute, Absolute Bowie.

Event director Emma Brayne said: “We are giving our valued Dorset customers six of the world’s best tributes. These are major arena and large theatre acts who are renowned for their stage shows."

The international organisers, Starlight Concerts, who have operations in arenas across Europe and Australia, are adding an exclusive dance night on the Friday. Revellers are invited to revisit the two best decades of music in one incredible night. The night couples the big anthems from the fabulous 80s with 90s Club Classics. Expect iconic songs from Duran Duran, Wham!, Frankie Goes To Hollywood, Fatboy Slim, Ultra Nate, Faithless and stacks more!

Tickets for both events are priced at £30 on Early Bird rates. The popular Kids For £1 returns. Customers can bring their own picnic and alcohol into the venue. All parking is free at the Canford Arena.
