POOLE & Parkstone Productions, now in their 99th year, return to the Barrington Theatre in Ferndown next month for a night of wartime nostalgia.
Their latest show, Pack Up Your Troubles, will commemorate the end of World War I with a celebration of songs, poems and drama.
On behalf of P&P Productions, Rosie Luxford said: “From the trenches to the music halls, barracks to living rooms, music kept our troops’ spirits high and the nation strong. With a nostalgic recollection of the blitz spirit, the show includes singalong songs such as Maybe it’s because I’m a Londoner, The Lambeth Walk and of course Pack Up Your Troubles, as well as well-known tunes by popular artists including Vera Lynn and Gracie Fields.
“The music is interspersed with a selection of poignant and thoughtful poems and scenes and performed by P&P’s musical theatre, singers and players, ensuring Pack Up Your Troubles is a fitting tribute and an unforgettable event.”
The show runs from November 8-10 at various times. Tickets £12.50-£14.50 (concessions and family discounts available). To book, contact P&P on 07783 068373 or email tickets@pandp.org.uk
