EX-STRICTLY star Brendan Cole is quick-stepping back to Dorset next month with what he calls his “most theatrical live production yet”.

Show Man takes its inspiration from the magic of theatre and the movies.

“Anytime I create a new production, I get a real sense of excitement as I start choosing the material, the dancers and the musicians involved, and Show Man feels more exciting than anything I’ve done before,” says Brendan. “It has a dynamic new feel and will be quite different to my previous four productions.

“This new show is more theatrical than ever before with brand new staging, which allows the choreography to be exciting and different, bigger and better lifts, some very strong theatrical numbers as well as a new look set – this promises to be something special.”

Brendan has also recruited a 25-strong local choir from Stagewise performing arts school based at Lighthouse.

“It’s a great opportunity and the singers are all really excited about being in a Brendan Cole show,” says artistic director Ally Cox. “The singers are aged from nine upwards and the show counts as a professional credit, which is very important for those looking to go to performing arts schools.

“We have two numbers from The Greatest Showman at the start of Act One and another number in Act Two so there is lots to learn. We’ve been involved in lots of shows over the years, but these opportunities don’t come along every day so we’re delighted Brendan Cole has invited us to take part.”

n Brendan Cole: Show Man is at Lighthouse Poole on Friday, February 15 at 7.30pm (Concert Hall). Tickets range from £37.50 to £30. Call 01202 280000.
