SHE’S been making the nation laugh for more than 40 years and is one of the biggest-selling female comedians in the UK.

Now Pam Ayres is returning to Dorset next year with her Up in the Attic tour and tickets are now on sale. The writer, broadcaster and entertainer came to fame after winning the talent show Opportunity Knocks in 1975 and has become an audience favourite for her sharp perception of the comic detail of everyday life.

Pam has sold millions of books, albums, CDs, and DVDs over the years and she is still a regular on TV and Radio, on programmes such as Just A Minute, Ayres On The Air, Paul O’Grady, Countdown, and The One Show.

Many of her poems are in school textbooks around the world including China, Australia, New Zealand, Holland, South Africa, Ireland and Singapore.

Pam will be performing poems from her new book Up In The Attic along with a host of classic poems, anecdotes and tales from her long career.

Pam’s recent TV appearances include Springwatch, Celebrity Mastermind and Celebrity Antiques Road Trip; while on radio she has presented Series 6 of Ayres On The Air, been a guest on Just A Minute and I’m Sorry I Haven’t A Clue and made her second appearance on Desert Island Discs.
