THE WINNER of Britain's Got Talent 2018 will headline a triple bill of stand-up comedy on Saturday, February 1, in Poole.

Lee Ridley, AKA Lost Voice Guy, will take the leading slot at the next Coastal Comedy Colossal Show, taking place at Lighthouse, Poole's centre for the arts.

Unable to speak, Lee is the first stand-up comedian in Britain to use a communication aid in his routines. Before finding television fame on the hit ITV show, he won the BBC Radio New Comedy Awards in 2014 and went on to take a starring role in the Radio 4 sitcom Ability, which he co-wrote with comedian Katherine Jakeways.

Other credits include America's Got Talent: The Champions and Live At The Apollo, plus a performance at The Royal Variety Show.

Opening the coastal comedy show will be Tania Edwards, star of Mock the Week and The Unbelievable Truth who supported Katherine Ryan on her sell-out tour. In 2018, Tania's solo show Not My Dog won the Amused Moose Comedy Award for Best Fringe Show, and her jokes were selected as Best of the Fringe by titles including The Evening Standard and The Telegraph.

Completing the triple bill of comedy will be Nathan Caton, one of the most exciting young comedians on the scene. Gigging since the age of 19, Nathan has established himself as both a circuit headliner and TV star, appearing on Live at the Apollo, Mock the Week and Russell Howard's Good News.

Coastal Comedy is a monthly stand-up event of live entertainment in the Bournemouth and Poole area, bringing famous faces to the south west and offering a unique experience for comedy fans. A small independent business run by Adrienne Coles, who also hosts the shows, 2019 saw Coastal Comedy win the Gold Night Time Award as part of BH Stars.

The comedy night begins at 8pm. Suitable for over-18s only, tickets are £17, available from the Lighthouse website or box office. For more information and upcoming shows, head to facebook.com/Coastalcomedyclub/.
