DUST off the BBQ and dig out your shorts – Dorset will see its first taste of summer next week.

Temperatures as high as 22C or even 24C could be seen by the middle of the week thanks to a blast of mild air moving in which will bring some much-welcome warm and settled weather.

Bournemouth-based weather forecaster, DorsetSnow, who delivers forecasts to more than 2,600 followers on Twitter, told the Daily Echo: “We are expecting the milder air to move in Monday night and a spell of high pressure to develop.

“Initially highs of around 17-20C on Tuesday, then as we head into Wednesday and Thursday we get some even warmer air pushing up from the south, highs widely of 18-22c, locally up to 24c (possibly a touch cooler on the coast where we still have cold seas) we should hang on to those temperatures until Friday. “

Eastern and central parts of the UK could see temperatures reach 25C.

DorsetSnow added: “Temperatures will be warmer than parts of southern Italy over the spell.”

This weekend will see cloudy conditions and highs of around 12C.
