TWO men are due to appear in court in connection with the collision that claimed the life of three-year-old Wareham boy Jaiden Mangan.

Jaiden, known as JJ, died the day before his fourth birthday after being involved in collision with a Sainsbury's lorry at the pedestrian crossing on Wareham's North Street on the morning of March 29, this year.

Hundreds of people attended the youngster's funeral, and his family continue to be supported by specially-trained officers.

A 43-year-old Basingstoke man was arrested at the scene and has now been issued with a postal requisition to appear before Poole magistrates on November 9, for an offence of causing death by dangerous driving.

Meanwhile, a 71-year-old Wareham man has also been issued with a postal requisition to appear at Poole Magistrates' Court on the same date, for offences of driving without due care and attention and failing to comply with the indication given by a traffic sign.
