A GROUP of women will walk through the streets of London for 26 miles while carrying glow sticks to raise money for charity next month.

Clubbercise instructor Jo Bunton, from Burton in Christchurch, along with 10 others from her class, will embark on the MoonWalk on Saturday, May 11.

The annual event raises money in the fight against breast cancer and sees participants walk 26 or 13 miles taking in sights such as Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament and the London Eye as they go.

Jo is chartered legal executive by day and an aerobics instructor by night and has been teaching fitness classes for 26 years but started teaching clubbercise four years ago.

The idea came about after one of Jo’s friends and class helper, Tina, suggested the group take part in the MoonWalk to celebrate her 50th birthday.

Jo said: “The theme at the MoonWalk is disco and it seemed the perfect opportunity for us to raise money for a fantastic cause, celebrate Tina's 50th, whilst waving our glow sticks to some fantastic music. Clubbercise really is a part of our lives and we all love dancing.”
