A MOTORCYCLIST has suffered potentially life-changing injuries following a serious crash in Purbeck.

The three-vehicle crash happened between the A35 Bakers Roundabout and the B3075 Morden Road on Sunday afternoon.

It involved a motorbike, a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van and a black Honda CRV.

The motorcyclist, a man in his 30s from Wareham, was taken to hospital.

Police were called to the scene at 4.26pm.

The A351 Sandford Road was closed both ways with a diversion in place via the A35 and the B3075 Chitten Hill.

Drivers reported big queues between Wareham and Lytchett Minster.

The road reopened at around 7pm.
