TWO people and their dogs were rescued after a fire broke out on board a yacht off Swanage.
Lifeboats from Poole and Swanage were called to the scene following a mayday call to coastguards at 5.50pm on Saturday.
The Maritime and Coastguard Agency said the people on board were wearing lifejackets and were rescued from the boat.
Swanage Coastguard Rescue Team was also put on standby to help with any debris that may come ashore and provide safety assistance.
The cause of the fire is not yet known.
