A main road in Wareham remains closed following a burst water main.
North Street will remain closed until this afternoon.
The road closures is near to the Red Lion Hotel and the Kings Arms.
The closures was supposed be lifted yesterday at 4pm, but the road is still in need of repairs.
A Dorset Council spokesperson said: “We’ve put an emergency road closure in place so that Wessex Water can repair a ruptured pipe.
“It’s always an operational risk that utilities can be disturbed during any highway work, in this case, the leak started while we were rolling a newly laid surface. Chances are the large vibrations from this work caused the pipe to give.”
