POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a criminal damage attack on a car caused over £400 worth of damage.

Three windows on the victim's silver Ford Fiesta were smashed, including the rear windscreen.

In a statement, Dorset Police said they are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

The attack happened at around 12.40am on Saturday September 14 at Hill View in Bishop’s Caundle, near Sherborne.

Police Constable Simon Rogers, of Sherborne police, said: “The damage caused to the car is going to cost the victim over £400 to repair.

“I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the criminal damage, or may have seen any suspicious activity in the area at the relevant time, to please get in touch.”
