STRONG winds caused major disruption across Dorset on Saturday.
Fallen trees were reported across the county with roads blocked and train services also affected.
The Met Office issued a yellow weather warning for strong winds which was in force between 4am and 6pm on Saturday with winds of up to 70mph predicted.
Police were called to Dorset Street in Blandford after scaffolding fell on top of vehicles.
While firefighters from Springbourne dealt with a large tree which came down on a power line outside Hurn Post Office.

Other areas affected by fallen trees included Lymington Road in Highcliffe with issues on both sides of the village affected including near the junction for Chewton Common Road and the recreation ground.
A large shed was also spotted blocking the road near Swanage.

South Western Railway reported “multiple” trees blocking the railway line between Brockenhurst and Weymouth.

Passengers were warned train services running through the stations may be cancelled, delayed or changed at short notice with disruption lasting until 2pm.
Trains were also restricted to 50mph due to the forecast.
Sandbanks Ferry services had to be suspended for a around two-and-a-half hours due to the “dangerous” conditions.

Services stopped at around 10am and resumed just before 12.30pm.
Bournemouth's Odeon cinema in the BH2 leisure complex had to close on Saturday and for most of Sunday due to a power surge.
Christchurch's fireworks display which was due to be held at Stanpit on Saturday night was cancelled.
Christchurch Rotary, which organises the event, said: "It is with deepest regret that Christchurch Rotary Club have had to cancel the firework display this evening due to adverse weather conditions.
"The decision was made this morning following new information on the developing weather fronts which are expected to continue to gust at up to force eight through the evening.
"It was deemed unsafe to continue with preparations in these conditions and would definitely be unsafe to continue with our display."
