NEW Year revellers have been warned to expect queues and delays on the railway as RMT strike action continues.

Strike timetables have been published up to and including Christmas Eve but full details of what to expect after Boxing Day have yet to be revealed.

On Christmas Eve the last train from Bournemouth to Waterloo leaves at 6.18pm with 7pm the latest Waterloo to Bournemouth service.

There are no services on Christmas Day or Boxing Day.

South Western Railway has warned that an amended timetable will be operating over the New Year period.

Post-midnight services from London Waterloo on New Year's Eve will not travel any further than Basingstoke or Guildford.

An amended timetable will operate from New Year's Day until January 3 which will be followed by a new timetable on some routes from Saturday January 4.

However, engineering works over the weekend of January 4 and 5 will mean the new timetable will not kick in fully until Monday January 6.
