THIS spring Artsreach is partnering once more with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra (BSO) to present a recital by its Resonate Strings quintet.

In a year that sees Dorset’s touring arts charity Artsreach celebrate 30 years of presenting professional performances in some of the county's most rural communities, Artsreach Co-Director Kerry Bartlett said: “Dorset is extremely fortunate to be home to a world class orchestra such as the BSO and we are always excited to give our audiences the chance to see them performing live right in the heart of their own communities."

The five musicians who make up the BSO Resonate Strings each represents one of the five string sections of the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra.

Their ‘Spring Serenade’ will feature music from Vivaldi, Bartok, Holst, Brahms, Handel and Bach.

Dougie Scarfe, the BSO’s chief executive, said: “Taking live music deep into the communities we serve across South West England is a core part of what we do as an orchestra.

"We’re thrilled to present our Resonate Strings ensemble in partnership with Artsreach.”

The BSO Resonate Strings will be performing at Lytchett Matravers Village Hall from 7.30pm on Saturday, February 8.
