A MAN has suffered a serious head injury during an incident in Southbourne early this morning.
The police helicopter is up following a brawl in Beaufort Road at 6.15am.
Weapons were involved in the row and a man has been badly hurt, officials say.
Armed police and dog units are at the scene. Officers are also searching an address in Kimberley Road.
A spokesperson from the force said: "We were called at 6.15am on Saturday to reports of an assault at an address in Beaufort Road in Bournemouth involving weapons.
"It was reported a number of people had left the scene in a vehicle.
"Officers attended, including firearms officers, the dog section and the NPAS helicopter, and carried out a search of the area.
"A man aged in his 20s has been taken to hospital with a serious head injury.
"A 20-year-old local man has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and aggravated burglary.
"A 21-year-old local man has been arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary.
"An 18-year-old local woman has been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
"All three are assisting officers with their enquiries. A full investigation is under way."
Dog units remain in the street this morning. There are also a number of police vehicles parked at either end of the road, and members of the public are being told they can't walk up the street, although a cordon is not in place.
