A £1.8million EuroMillions prize has finally been claimed-more than five months after the ticket was bought in Dorset.

Camelot, operator of The National Lottery, said the £1,844,973.60 prize from the EuroMillions draw on 4 October 4 last year – which had previously remained outstanding– has now been claimed. The lucky ticket-holder matched the five main numbers and one Lucky Star number to win their prize.

The lucky ticket-holder’s prize was a result of the EuroMillions roll series at the time, which culminated in one lucky UK ticket-holder winning the astounding £170M jackpot in the draw on 8 October.

Once the EuroMillions jackpot reached its cap of 190 Million Euros, players matching the five main numbers and one Lucky Star won bigger prizes.

This is because any money that would have gone into boosting the jackpot was shared among players in the next winning prize tier.

Camelot's Andy Carter, Senior Winners’ Advisor at The National Lottery said, “We’re delighted that the winner of this amazing prize has now come forward and we hope that they will enjoy their win.

It would have been awful if the ticket-holder had missed out on this life-changing amount of money. We would like to remind all National Lottery players to check their tickets every time they play.”
