Driver three times over drink limit

A WOMAN has been electronically tagged after she was caught driving after drinking three times the legal limit of alcohol.

At Wigan Magistrates’ Court Melissa McCulloch, aged 36, of Dorchester Avenue, Bolton, pleaded guilty to committing the offence while driving a Ford Fiesta on Dorchester Avenue on March 15.

She also admitted having no insurance.

McCulloch was sentenced to an 8pm to 7am curfew for eight weeks.

She was also banned from driving for two years, fined £120 and ordered to pay £85 towards prosecution costs plus a £90 victim surcharge.

Car damage

MAGISTRATES have fined a man £80 and ordered him to pay £200 in compensation after he damaged a car window.

At Wigan Magistrates’ Court Kevin Entwistle, aged 40, of Manchester Road, Bolton, pleaded guilty to damaging the Honda Jazz on July 2.

He was also ordered to pay £119 in costs and charges.

Teen drove stolen car

A TEENAGER has admitted receiving a stolen Vauxhall Mokka on New Year’s Eve last year and driving it carelessly.

At Wigan Magistrates’ Court Luke Conway, aged 18, of Spinning Meadow, Bolton, pleaded guilty to committing the offences and also driving without a licence or insurance.

He is due to be sentenced at Bolton Crown Court on July 30.

Unpaid work after assault

A MAN has been ordered to do 160 hours of unpaid work after he admitted assaulting a woman and two other people on May 20.

At Manchester Magistrates’ Court Mohammed Lashkari, aged 40, of Callthorpe Close, Bolton, was also to he must participate in 20 days of rehabilitation activities and pay £495 in costs and charges.

Woman threatened police officer

A WOMAN has been fined by magistrates after she used threatening behaviour towards a police officer.

At Manchester Magistrates’ Court Rebecca Lord, aged 30, of Trencherbone, Radcliffe, pleaded guilty to committing the offence on July 27.

The court decided that Lord’s behaviour towards PC Mohammed Patel was racially aggravated and she intended to harass him

She was fined £120 and ordered to pay £85 towards prosecution costs and a £32 victim surcharge.

Man’s breach of the peace

A MAN whose behaviour caused a breach of the peace has appeared before magistrates.

At Wigan Magistrates’ Court, Kieran Ryan, aged 32, of Windsor Grove, Bolton admitted committing the offence in Bolton on July 7.

He was bound over to keep the peace for six months or pay £100.

Man caught drink driving on motorway

A MAN who was caught drink-driving on the M60 motorway has been banned from the roads for 12 months.

At Manchester Magistrates’ Court Christopher Kirkham, aged 48, of Aintree Road, Little Lever, pleaded guilty to committing the offence in a Ford Mondeo on March 6. He was also fined £230 plus £117 in costs and charges.

Thug’s threats to stab police

A THUG who threatened to stab police and give them coronavirus by spitting at them has been jailed for 22 weeks by Manchester magistrates.

Daniel Whiteside, aged 27, of Kent Court, Bolton, appeared in court and pleaded guilty to using threatening behaviour towards two officers.

He also admitted assaulting a former partner.

The court heard that drunken Whiteside had used “significant force” when assaulting the woman on May 20 and had made repeated threats to the officers.

He initially denied committing the assault on the woman but subsequently changed his plea to guilty.

Tagged after threats to police

MAGISTRATES have ordered a man to be electronically tagged after he racially abused a police officer.

At Manchester Magistrates’ Court Daniel Berry, aged 35, of Vincent Street, Farnworth, pleaded guilty to using threatening behaviour towards PC Masood on July 3.

The court ordered that he wear a tag and is subject to a 7pm to 7am curfew for eight weeks.

He must also pay his victim £50 in compensation.

Man had knife at pub

A MAN who was caught with a kitchen knife at a pub and threatened a woman has admitted his guilt.

At Manchester Magistrates Court Scott Hewitt, aged 30, of St Williams Avenue, Great Lever, pleaded guilty to threatening to smash the woman’s windows and TV and having the knife at the Dun Mare pub, Little Hulton.

He is due to be sentenced on July 29.
