A BODY has been found in the search for a woman who went missing from Dorchester last week.
Laura Dodon, 43, was reported missing on July 27 after failing to contact her family.
She was last seen by family members in Weymouth on July 21.
As part of ongoing searches, officers discovered a body in a field south of Dorchester Rugby Club at 1.11pm on Wednesday, August 5 2020.
While formal identification has not yet taken place, the body is believed to be that of Laura.
Her family has been informed.
Her death is not being treated as suspicious and the coroner has been notified.
Chief Inspector Neil Wood, of Dorset Police, said: "Our thoughts are with Laura’s family at this very difficult time.
"We would like to thank all those involved in the search efforts and everyone who shared our appeal."
