MUDEFORD Junior School has reported a second positive case of the Covid-19 virus.
The school in Christchurch say the second positive confirmed case of the virus, an adult working with year 3 students at the school, was last in school on Tuesday September 8.
As a result of the precautionary measures taken, students from both year 3 classes at the school have been isolating at home and return to school on Wednesday September 23.
The school remains open and, providing children are well, students can continue to attend school as normal.

In a statement published on the school’s website, Headteacher Mark Partridge said: “We have been advised by Public Health England (PHE) that there has been a second confirmed adult case of Covid-19 in year 3 at Mudeford Junior School.
"All the necessary contacts have been asked to self- isolate for 14 days from 8 September.
"We are continuing to monitor the situation and are working closely with Public Health England and BCP Council to ensure all the necessary measures are in place to keep our school safe. I would like to thank you all for your help and patience in these challenging times."
The school reported its first positive case earlier this week on Monday.
Having followed PHE guidance and implemented a successful self-isolation system, no other members of our school community have been impacted.
