FIREFIGHTERS were alerted to a property blaze with people reported to be still inside the building.
Crews from Sherborne, Sturminster Newton and Yeovil were moblised to the fire in Pulham at 2.13pm yesterday.
A spokesman for Sherborne Fire Station said: "Upon arrival all persons were safely out of the property.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus were deployed into the kitchen of the property with a thermal imaging camera and extinguished the blaze caused by a dishwasher using one hose reel jet.
A spokesman for Sherborne Fire Station said: "Thankfully the property had working smoke alarms and upon discovery of the fire the occupants had closed the kitchen door containing the fire and smoke to the kitchen itself."
