EMERGENCY services attended a 'concern for welfare' incident at East Cliff in the early hours of this morning, Saturday, October 10. 

Police were called at 4.40am this morning and were closely followed by coastguard officials (tasked at 5.12am) and paramedics. 

A spokesperson from Dorset Police said: "At 4.40am this morning on Saturday, October 10, Dorset Police received a call indicating there was a female in distress on the East Cliff.

"We attended and were supported by the coastguard. The female is now receiving appropiate care."
