TWO men have appeared in court after having three samurai swords in a public place in Bournemouth.
Domingos David Da Silva Jardim and Adam William Edward Mills faced charges of possessing the offensive weapons in Queen's Park South Drive on June 7.
Both admitted the offences at earlier hearings and appeared at Poole Magistrates' Court on Thursday, October 8 for sentencing.
Jardim, aged 34, and of Cunningham Crescent, Bournemouth, was handed a community order which instructed him to carry out 240 hours of unpaid work. He was also told to pay £95 surcharge and £85 costs.
Mills, also aged 34 and of West Hill Road, Bournemouth, was discharged conditionally for 24 months. He was also ordered to pay £22 surcharge and £85 costs.
The court ordered that the samurai swords were to be forfeited and destroyed.
