DORCHESTER Police has had a busy weekend amid concerns about drug taking and anti-social behaviour.

Officers from the neighbourhood team on patrol have dealt with a range of issues including people who had set up camp on River Walks, who were moved on, and young people who were seen jumping a fence into private property.

"They were given some strong words of advice," a police spokesman said.

The spokesman added: "We went and spoke with residents in areas where we have had complaints of drug misuse and anti social behaviour - and we will continue to work with the residents to deal with the issues.

"Thankfully, most people were behaving themselves. Please keep reporting your concerns - a lot of people we spoke to assumed we knew about the issues they were facing. Unless you tell us, we don’t know."
