A FURTHER 56 people have tested positive for Covid-19 across Dorset.
According to the latest data published on the government website, 39 positive results were recorded in the BCP Council area in the past 24-hours.
The number of people who have now tested positive for Covid-19 in the local authority since the start of the pandemic is 1,786.
The figures - which were published on the government website at 4.02pm on Sunday, October 11 - also revealed that the rate per population of 100,000 people is 447.5.
In the Dorset Council area, 17 new cases have been reported with an overall total of 993 and a rate of 262.3.
Further afield, in the New Forest, seven new cases have been recorded bringing the total number of cases to 712.
The rate is 395.4.
The total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England is 30,471.
