FAMILIES from across the county have been invited to run, jump, hide and sneak through the Halloween themed trail at RSPB Arne nature reserve.

With half term just around the corner, the RSPB's Wild Things Halloween trail provides an opportunity for children to enjoy being out in nature. Times and dates are below.

Samantha Dallimore, of the nature reserve, said: "Autumn is one of the most spectacular times of the year here at RSPB Arne.

“Come along and explore the wild woodland trails in search of fascinating facts and hidden pumpkins.

“Pick up a Halloween trail leaflet from the welcome area and follow our self-guided trail. You can even vote for your favourite spooky carved pumpkin.

“Don't forget your fancy dress and weirdest wellies.”

She added: “We are really happy to be back offering Covid-secure events at RSPB Arne.

“Our Dumbledore trail and Wild Play Area are currently closed, but all other trails are open, as well as our café and shop.

“There will be hand sanitiser available at our welcome area and we ask that everyone follows all Covid-19 government guidance during your visit. We can’t wait to have you back.”

The Wild Things Halloween Trail will be running from Saturday October 24 to Sunday November 1 at RSPB Arne, Wareham.

It will be open from 9.30am until 4.30pm and costs £2 per child.
