ALMOST 150 people have tested positive for Covid-19 across Dorset in the last 24 hours.
According to the latest data published on the government website, a total of 141 new cases were confirmed across the county.
In the BCP area, 98 positive results were recorded up to 4pm on Wednesday, October 14.
This means that the number of people who have now tested positive for Covid-19 in the local authority since the start of the pandemic has surpassed 2,000. The rate per 100,000 people is now at 514.
Meanwhile, in the Dorset Council area, 43 new cases have been reported, increasing the overall total to 1,110 and an infection rate of 293.3.
Elsewhere, the New Forest have had a further 26 new cases bringing the area’s total to 759 and increasing the infection rate to 421.5.
